WHO ARE WE?
DSCJ stands for Deutscher Sport Club Johannesburg.
Our primary objective is to facilitate competitive sport for DSJ girls and boys, however children from other schools are welcome.
The DSCJ is a registered club. We are a non-profit outfit, with a volunteer board made up of parents.
Our initial focus is to get soccer to a sustainable and competitive level in all age groups VS – G5.
Other sports such as hand ball, basketball and touch rugby will be considered in future.
Our main task is to ensure we have good coaches, the correct equipment and facilities to train competitive teams.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the club is to:
-
- ) Promote participation in sports, beginning with soccer;
- ) Develop and promote skills and expertise in junior soccer;
- ) Promote the practice of good sportsmanship and fair play, on and off the field when representing the soccer club, as well as maintaining a spirit of camaraderie within the sports club.
OUR OBJECTIVES
We aim to enable all members of the club to participate in competitive sport. Our objective therefore is to:
-
- ) Remain a non profit making organisation;
- ) Manage our financial affairs in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards. All funds will be deposited into a bank account at a registered financial institution;
- ) Be a club run by parents, who show their involvement and support for their children, therefore to retain the nature of the club for active Junior players.
